Preparation Directions: Quick Soak (Preferred): 1. Rinse and sort beans. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, combine 10 cups water and contents of package (reserving seasoning packet). 2. Bring to a rolling boil; boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat; cover and let stand 1 hour. 3. Drain and rinse. Continue with cooking directions. Overnight Soak: 1. Rinse and sort beans. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, combine 8-10 cups cold water and contents of package (Reserving seasoning packet). 2. Cover and let stand overnight (at least 6-8 hours). 3. Drain and rinse. Continue with cooking directions. Cooking Directions: 1. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium heat, combine 7-1/2 cups water and soaked beans; bring to a simmer. 2. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Add seasoning packet and continue simmering 1/2-1 hour or until tender. 3. Remove from heat, drain well
