      Spice Trend Sesame Seeds have a sweet, nutty flavor. Also known as benne seed, the creamy white seeds are loved throughout the world in both baked goods as well as savory dishes. Sesame seeds are a key ingredient in Asian, Indian and Middle Eastern cooking, where they add a nutty flavor and satisfying crunch. In Asia, they are added to stir-fries, sushi, coatings for meat or fish, and noodle dishes. In the Middle East, they are in confections, spice blends and in tahini paste, an essential ingredient in hummus. Sesame seeds are enjoyed sprinkled on baked goods like rolls, bagels, cookies and pastries. Toasting brings out a rich, nuttier flavor add the seeds to a hot pan and cook until golden brown.

      Use from the bottle or toast in 350 degrees F oven fifteen minutes and use. Sprinkle over bread before baking or over vegetables as a garnish. Roll cheese balls in the toasted seed. Sprinkle over stuffed mushrooms. Work into pie crust dough. Use as a topping for casseroles.
